Communities In Schools Houston (CIS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has served at-risk students in the Houston area since 1979. CIS removes obstacles to learning, helping kids stay in school and prepare for life. With programs in 114 schools in the Aldine, Alief, Fort Bend, Houston and Spring Branch school districts, CIS is able to touch the lives of over 35,000students and their families annually.
Come to Lamar High School 5/20 10:30am to meet CIS students and staff and learn how you can help keep kids in school and prevent them from becoming a negative statistic.
